On this journey of life we become a Prisoner
A Prisoner of Sin, of this World,
Of the Selfish Desires, of Fears, of Ego
The Spirit that is imprisoned within this earthly body.
Like horses who run the race, beaten by their riders,
We become so busy making our lives, driven by the rules of the world
That the thin line between good and bad fades away,
Not realising that it can all come to an end any day
Let go, set yourself free from the shackles that pull you down,
Rise from the slumber that has this world in control
Find your own reasons and not because a somebody said so,
Because the Lord rose up for you and me, for each of us.
The Lord has made a way, given you rest,
Made a plan, so you won't have to give the test
Believe in Him, Trust his Word
He's calling to free you, O Prisoner!
Forsake the mask, the fake outer self
Peel it off! Get rid of it!
Cleanse not only from the outward but from within
Reveal the inner self that wants to be free.
